In an unintentional bit of comedy, Joe Biden kicked off his 2020 campaign officially in Pennsylvania over the weekend with an embrace of his wife that led her to force his hands off of her.
Apparently, even Jill Biden is aware of what her husband isn’t – that he should keep his hands to himself.
The former vice president was introduced to the rally by Mrs. Biden, when he hugged her, lowered his hand to her hips, and had them promptly and forcefully removed by the latter.
There’s no other way to describe this other than incredibly hilarious. It was not subtle in any manner …

Now, it’s hard to imagine this is a case where the woman in question was offended by the gesture, but it is a good sign that Jill realizes the optics of being unable to keep your hands off of someone when it’s a central concern of the candidate in question.
How does Biden not understand this?
Hands to Himself
Several women accused Biden of inappropriately touching them and making them feel uncomfortable, a torrent that started with former Nevada Assemblywoman Lucy Flores who alleged the potential 2020 candidate inappropriately kissed her and smelled her hair.
Biden then responded to the allegations by issuing a faux apology, no apology, then made a few jokes over the entire affair.
A woman at a campaign event in Henderson, Nevada earlier this month yelled to Biden, “You can hug and kiss me anytime, Joe!”
He responded by making the sign of the cross and adding, “That’s very nice, thank you.”

Biden’s history of being handsy with women and children has been an open secret for some time. He even has a history of making female Secret Service agents uncomfortable by skinny dipping or walking around the house without clothes.
And now his wife has to tell him to keep his hands off!
Earlier in May, Politico ran a story indicating that Biden had learned his lesson.
“There‘s been no hair-sniffing. No nose-to-cheek nuzzles. No intimate whispers with strangers,” they wrote. “In his first full week on the road for his 2020 candidacy, Joe Biden is keeping his hands to himself.”
Jill Biden wrote in her memoir that at the onset of their relationship, the 2020 candidate made her uncomfortable because he was so handsy.
His approach made her feel “strange and uncomfortable,” she wrote, noting that Joe “never wanted to miss a chance to hold a hand, wrap their arms around each other, or give a kiss.”
Some things never change.
