Tensions are rising as North Korea continues to conduct missile tests using weapons that are purportedly capable of hitting the United States. Not to mention the tragic case of Otto Warmbier, continued provocation of President Trump, and now we’re learning, suspicious submarine activity that could preclude a missile launch.
One military leader under Trump’s command has a rather simple solution to the problem in North Korea. A five-word plan to alleviate rising tensions.
Terrence J. O’Shaughnessy, Commander of the Pacific Air Forces, has warned the rogue state that America is gearing up to use “rapid, lethal and overwhelming force.”
“If called upon,” O’Shaughnessy announced, “we are ready to respond with rapid, lethal, and overwhelming force at a time and place of our choosing.”
Via the Daily Wire:
Meanwhile, Gen. Terrence J. O’Shaughnessy, U.S. Pacific Air Forces commander, said the U.S. and its allies are prepared to use “rapid, lethal and overwhelming force” against North Korea if necessary.
“North Korea remains the most urgent threat to regional stability,” the general said. “Diplomacy remains the lead; however, we have a responsibility to our allies and our nation to showcase our unwavering commitment while planning for the worst-case scenario. If called upon, we are ready to respond with rapid, lethal, and overwhelming force at a time and place of our choosing.”
That ought to be enough to send Kim Jong Un running to the nearest computer so he can Skype his BFF, Dennis Rodman. Clearly, giving Dear Leader a copy of The Art of the Deal isn’t paying dividends, as Kim continues to incur the wrath of President Trump.
Senator Lindsey Graham told NBC news earlier today that Trump has a plan in place that would deliver that “rapid, lethal, and overwhelming force.”

“There is a military option to destroy North Korea’s program and North Korea itself,” Graham said. “If there’s going to be a war to stop him [Kim Jong Un], it will be over there. If thousands die, they’re going to die over there, they’re not going to die here and he’s [Trump] told me that to my face.”
That sounds pretty lethal and overwhelming. It may just be a matter of how rapid this military maneuver is put into place.
