The White House Christmas party for the press, an annual tradition in the White House, has been canceled according to a Fox News report.
The event was considered an honor and privilege for those covering events in the White House, some years growing so large in the past that they had to separate broadcast and print parties.
But an ever-widening rift between the media and their ability to report fairly on the current administration has left the press party in the dust.
The President made no official announcement in dropping the event, but according to reporter Howard Kurtz, those who have treated the President fairly have been invited to other Christmas celebrations.

Nobody Will Be Upset About It, Right?
We’re quite certain that the media, who have treated the President with nothing but disdain since he announced he was running, won’t mind this event being canceled at all.

April Ryan’s dismay and sadness over the party being dropped is striking, considering her network last year staged a boycott of the event, a direct response to Trump’s attacks on CNN as ‘fake news.’
“CNN will not be attending this year’s White House Christmas party,” a spokesperson said at the time. “In light of the President’s continued attacks on freedom of the press and CNN, we do not feel it is appropriate to celebrate with him as his invited guests.”
White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders mocked the network over their temper tantrum.

Last year, they boycott because the President is mean to them. Now, they’re sad that he boycotted because he’s mean.
Trump Loves Taking the Media’s Fun Away
This isn’t the first time the President has wrecked a party meant for the media.
Trump, in multiple years, has announced a boycott of the White House Correspondents Dinner. He even held competing events to take away from the media’s party. The press responded by hiring a comedian to launch personal attacks against Sanders, then wondered why the President wouldn’t want to hang out and take pictures with them.
Why wouldn’t he cancel these events? The press spent years fawning over Barack Obama and now spends a good 90 percent of their time trying to tear down Trump. They’ve even openly fantasized about him being assassinated and what his future funeral will be like.
And he’s supposed to party with them and smile while they take photographs to send back to their friends and family?
