Tlaib Says Detroit Police Can Only Hire Blacks For Facial Recognition Program

Democrat Rep. Rashida Tlaib believes Detroit police should hire blacks exclusively to run their facial recognition software because other races think they “all look the same.”

Tlaib made the incredibly racist comments to Detroit police Chief James Craig during a tour of the department’s Real Time Crime Center.

“Analysts need to be African-Americans, not people that are not,” Tlaib claimed without evidence. “It’s true, I think non-African-Americans think African-Americans all look the same!”

Craig, who is himself black, immediately dismissed her analysis, saying “I trust people who are trained, regardless of race, regardless of gender.”

You can feel the awkwardness in the room when the congresswoman makes a comment that is clearly perceived as racist by those around her.

The exchange continued to grow heated when Tlaib made a claim that the software had a disproportionate error rate amongst African-Americans, particularly women.

The Democrat told Chief Craig, “See if you can get some of our money back until they fix it.”

“No,” Craig responded.

The tour of the facial recognition program came when Tlaib tweeted the Detroit police department telling them they “should probably rethink this whole facial recognition bulls***.”

Upon conclusion of the tour, Craig continued to slam Tlaib for her comments.

“It’s insulting,” Craig told the Detroit News afterward. “We have a diverse group of crime analysts, and what she said – that non-whites should not work in that capacity because they think all black people look alike – is a slap in the face to all the men and women in the crime center.”

He flat-out called her a racist for making the suggestion.

“To say people should be barred from working somewhere because of their skin color?” Craig asked. “That’s racist.”

Tlaib is indeed a racist, and an unhinged loon to boot. She’s just one more member of the ‘Squad’ who views everything through the prism of race.

Earlier this year, video surfaced of fellow Squad member Rep. Ilhan Omar conducting an interview as a congressional candidate with Al Jazeera in which she describes white men as a bigger terror threat than radical Islamists.

At a rally in May, Omar declared America “is not going to be the country of white people.”

Another member of the Squad, Rep. Ayanna Pressley, claimed black Americans are treated “like second class citizens” in this country and insinuated President Trump is largely to blame.

And, of course, the entire group, including leader Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, called House Speaker Nancy Pelosi a racist, then demanded she come to them for a meeting to “acknowledge the fact that we are women of color” and she better “be aware of that and what you’re doing.”
