Three reporters from CNN were forced to resign over their role in a retracted story that allegedly tied the administration to Russia.
On Thursday evening, CNN investigative reporter Thomas Frank published an “explosive report” linking Trump adviser Anthony Scaramucci with a Russian investment firm.
By late Friday night, the network was forced to quietly retract the story in its entirety, saying it did not meet their “editorial standards.”
Hard to meet what you don’t have, eh CNN?

What’s funny is that Brian Stelter, who posted the retraction, is the host of a show called ‘Reliable Sources.’
Three employees at the network have since handed in their resignation over the fake news story.
Via the Los Angeles Times:
CNN removed the story and all connecting links to it late Friday, saying the story did not meet its editorial standards. CNN also issued an apology to Scaramucci, who accepted it with a tweet on Saturday. “Everyone makes mistakes,” he wrote. “Moving on.”
Scaramucci had said on Friday that the story is not true.
Thomas Frank, who wrote the piece, Eric Lichtblau, an editor in the investigative unit, and Lex Haris, an editor at CNN since 2001 who oversaw the unit, are all departing following a management review of the story.
The swift investigation and departure of the three journalists is probably a sign that CNN wants to protect itself against allegations of “fake news” from Trump and his supporters.
Yea, good luck with averting allegations of ‘fake news’ now.
It was just two weeks ago that CNN reporter Chris Cillizza challenged President Trump to name an actual “fake” news story.
Name a story that is “fake” or “incorrect.”
You can’t just make a blanket assertion without ANY specifics. https://t.co/tpJ2VLmf4r

Aside from the fact that numerous false reports could have been named at that point (the Russian dossier comes to mind), the President now has rock-solid proof that the ‘Clinton News Network’ is publishing false reports to smear his administration.
Harris, the editor on the Scaramucci/Russia piece, issued a statement defending the network by saying, “This is a news organization that prizes accuracy and fairness above all else.”
No, they prize finding the latest damaging report on the President – truth be damned.
Is CNN an honorable news organization and do they treat President Trump fairly? Share your thoughts below!
