Who’s the ‘dumbs***’ now, Mr. Salcido?
A liberal teacher and former mayor of Pico Rivera, California, who was caught on tape issuing a disgusting anti-military rant to his high school class, has been fired.
The school board for the El Rancho Unified School District voted unanimously on Tuesday to terminate history teacher, Gregory Salcido.
He now has 30 days to appeal the board’s decision.

Salcido lit up the internet in January when a video of him (below) relentlessly disparaging our fighting men and women went viral. His demerits involved disgusting statements made to students in his class, no less.
“Think about the people you know who are over there [in the military],” he said on the audio recording. “They’re your freaking stupid Uncle Louie or whatever.”
“They’re dumb [expletives]. They’re not high-level bankers, they’re not academic people, they’re not intellectual people,” he said. “They’re the freaking lowest of the low.”
Gregory Salcido, this idiot is a city councilman in Pico Rivera, California and a high school teacher at El Rancho High School… What an utter disgrace.www.pico-rivera.org/depts/council/gsalcido.asp

“His comments do not reflect what we stand for, who we are,” Board of Education President Aurora Villon said. “The classroom should never be a place where students feel that they are picked at, bullied, intimidated.”
Salcido had been previously placed on leave over a pair of incidents, one for “smacking a 15-year-old student upside his head,” and another time for saying he was going to kill a student.
Many in the crowd at the board meeting cheered the announcement that Salcido had been fired.

Not only was Salcido a jerk for making the disparaging comments in the first place, but he refused to show any remorse for insulting military members.
When the firestorm first erupted, he posted an update to Facebook that focused on his well-being, not showing contrition for his ignorance.
At a city council meeting in February, he still managed to insult the military while attempting to clarify his comments.
“I don’t think it’s all a revelation to anybody that those who aren’t stellar students usually find the military a better option … That’s not a criticism of anybody,” Salcido reportedly said. “Anything I said had nothing to do with their moral character.”
But you still think they’re all dumb. Hey, considering the state of our education system in this country, being overrun with ignorant liberal ‘academics,’ not being a ‘stellar student’ is by no means a measure of intelligence one way or the other.
Salcido’s comments were so distasteful, it even prompted a response from White House chief of staff John Kelly.
“Well, I think the guy ought to go to hell,” Kelly, a retired Marine general said. “I just hope he enjoys the liberties and the lifestyle that we have fought for.”
We hope so, too. In the meantime, here’s a thought for you Mr. Salcido. At least those ‘dumbs***s’ in the military still have a job. Guess they’re smarter than you after all.
