Sweet! Hostess Announces $1,250 Tax Cut Bonuses For Employees, Free Snacks

Maybe when the employees of Hostess Brands Inc. are done eating their free snacks, they’ll be left with nothing but ‘crumbs’ as fancy Nancy Pelosi likes to say. But they’ll still have some cash left over to buy some more if they’d like.

Hostess announced earlier this week that they’d be handing out $1,250 bonuses to their workers, along with a one year supply of free snacks. That’s some serious cash in their pockets, and a whole bevy of Sno Balls, Ho Hos, and Twinkies in their bellies.

Gives a whole new meaning to Pelosi and the Democrats essentially telling the American taxpayer to ‘let them eat cake.’ Snack cakes, specifically.

Hostess Executive Chairman, C. Dean Metropoulos, issued a statement citing the Republican tax reform legislation as a big reason behind the bonuses.

“The recent tax reform changes have given us the opportunity to review our benefit and compensation structure,” he said. “The company’s management and board take great pleasure in sharing the company’s success with our employees.”

Wow. Who saw that coming? The President did. And Republicans. And any economist with knowledge of how tax cuts and trickle down benefits work (the anti-Paul Krugmans of the world).

A White House release discusses President Trump’s recent visit “with workers who are already benefiting from tax reform.”

“These workers represent the many Americans who will be helped by the ‘Trump Bump’ — new bonuses, hiring, and investment by great American businesses,” it reads.

Careful, Hostess employees … Start enjoying too many of those free snacks and the ‘Trump Bump’ might take on a whole new meaning.

Tremendous investment by companies from all over the world being made in America. There has never been anything like it. Now Disney, J.P. Morgan Chase and many others. Massive Regulation Reduction and Tax Cuts are making us a powerhouse again. Long way to go! Jobs, Jobs, Jobs!

As for the monetary portion of the bonuses, employees will receive a $750 check and a $500 contribution to their 401k plan.

It should be noted that Hostess filed for bankruptcy during the Obama era in 2012. Now they’re roaring back!

Fox News host Greg Gutfeld took a shot at Democrats who scoffed at employee bonuses being handed out by companies celebrating the tax cuts.

“If Pelosi or Wasserman Schultz can’t see the goodness in that, then they’re the real ‘ding dongs,’” he said.

Are Democrats ‘Ding Dongs’ for not one of them voting in favor of the tax cut plan? Share your thoughts below!
