Senator Tim Scott Predicts Trump Could Gain 50 Percent In Support From Black Voters

Senator Tim Scott is predicting a significant uptick in support from the black community for President Trump on Election Day.

Scott (R-SC) spoke with Fox News host Neil Cavuto on Thursday, suggesting Trump’s support from African-Americans was set to skyrocket, perhaps even doubling from when he won the White House in 2016.

“President Trump will see a 50 percent increase in his African-American support,” Scott envisioned. “It will go from 8 percent in 2016 to a minimum of 12 percent in 2020. He may even get to 15 percent of the African American vote, and that is game over.”

When asked what makes him so sure of such support for the President, Scott offered an example in which Trump issued an executive order to increase the affordability of homeownership, resulting in more opportunities for the community.

“President Trump is not just talking a good game, he is walking a good game,” Scott explained.

Scott Has Hope trump black support

Scott was responding to a clip featuring House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-SC) insisting President Trump will “absolutely not” earn more votes from the black community this time around.

Clyburn even went so far as to suggest unemployment rates aren’t historically low for blacks since they “were fully employed during slavery.”

Yes, he actually said that.

Scott has been a longtime supporter of the President after he emerged from a meeting with Trump in which he offered “hope” about the two working together to improve race relations.

“He didn’t change his perspective. I certainly can’t change my perspective. Mine’s educated by my experience,” Scott explained. “But the way it closed, I thought, gave me reasons to be hopeful.”

Despite not seeing eye to eye on things, the Senator explained that Trump still asked, “What can I do to make things better?”

He’s Made Things Better

There have been several polls in recent days that bolster Scott’s prediction and indicate the President’s approval with minorities is on the rise.

Why? Quite simply, Trump’s policies uplift all Americans, they’re not designed to help one group over another as we experienced under Barack Obama.

President Trump, according to CBS reporter Major Garrett, has “a legacy on the agenda side that almost any president after three years would want to claim, particularly President Obama,” when it comes to minorities.

Another poll from Gallup indicates race relations in America have improved markedly under the Trump administration.

That survey saw double-digit improvements in how Americans view the nation’s economy, security from terrorism, military strength, and the state of race relations.

It also demonstrated that there was an increase in “the position of blacks and other racial minorities, the distribution of income and wealth, and the opportunity for a person to get ahead through hard work” according to respondents.

Former three-time NFL team captain and Pro Bowl finalist Jack Brewer recently predicted Trump would win “over 20% of the black vote.”

If Scott and Brewer see their predictions come true, President Trump will coast to an easy victory in 2020.
