Rush Limbaugh is Furious With Republicans – Takes on Mike Pence Over Budget

Conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh is so furious with Republicans over a budget bill that acquiesced to nearly every Democrat whim, that he ended up in a verbal sparring match with Vice President Mike Pence.

And why shouldn’t he be furious? There’s $8 billion in funding for the EPA. It continues to fund Planned Parenthood. It provides funding for sanctuary cities. Not to mention refugee resettlement.

And while there is a concession for defense spending, the budget does not include funding for Trump’s border wall, which was an absolute staple of his presidential campaign.

Democrats scored such a clear-cut victory on this budget that Chairman Tom Perez has sent out DNC fundraising emails which describe it as “a major victory for all of us who are resisting the Trump agenda.”

Limbaugh wasn’t about to let this defeat slide, demanding an answer to the one question on everyone’s mind.

“Why vote Republican?” he asked. “What is the point of voting Republican if the Democrats are gonna continue to win practically 95% of their objectives, such as in this last budget deal?”

Pence called into the show to defend the budget deal, and the sparks began to fly. Check this out:

The Vice President claimed the budget was a temporary victory for the American people.

“This is a short-term bill that finishes out this year,” he said. “But I think it demonstrates that, in President Trump’s leadership, the American people once again have a president who can bring together both parties, who can move the ball forward on the priorities of the American people.”

Limbaugh, of course, was skeptical.

“Mr. Vice President, we’ve been told this for 15 years, we’ll get ’em next time, after every continuing resolution,” he said. “We’ll get ’em next time, we’ll kick the can down the road, we’ll get ’em next time.”

But they never seem to ‘get ’em’ and the can never gets picked up.

“You guys were sent there to drain the swamp,” Limbaugh warned. “There’s a clear Trump agenda that just isn’t … visible in this budget, and some people are getting concerned that there’s more concern for bipartisanship and crossing the aisle, working with Democrats, than there is in draining the swamp.”
