The Republican National Committee mocked Democrats for celebrating a “moral victory” following another electoral loss in the special election in Ohio’s 12th Congressional District.

While the media and Democrats were celebrating a close race, the reality that has yet to set in for them is that they had a disastrous bottom line against candidates backed by President Trump.

The President celebrated as he always does, boasting about the tangible success of his party on Twitter and immediately causing liberal heads everywhere to explode.

It was epic…

As Trump was celebrating an actual victory with Republican Troy Balderson defeating Democrat Danny O’Connor by a narrow margin in Ohio, the media was practically dancing a jig over the fact that they actually made it a close contest in a GOP stronghold.

It’s all about “moral victories” these days for a party still reeling from Trump’s election in 2016, an election even then in which they continually celebrate the “popular vote” rather than the “electoral vote.”

CNN’s John King told Don Lemon that the results in Ohio amounted to a “moral victory” for the Democrats.

“The fact that this is so close tells you this is a very steep hill for Republicans this year,” King claimed.

King later reiterated that assessment saying, “This is a moral victory for the Democrats … The fact that they’re this close is a moral victory for the Democrats.”

“The fact that we’re even talking about this, I do think, is overall a win for Democrats,” CNN’s Maria Cardona also suggested.

The RNC however, isn’t having it, realeasing an ad which mocks the media and Democrats for their “moral victory” and punctuates the point that “winning is winning.”

The video features a montage of media personalities and politicians repeatedly staking their claim to a “moral victory,” then ends with footage from the movie “The Fast and the Furious.”

Vin Diesel’s character Dominic Toretto says, “It doesn’t matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Winning’s winning.”

Boom!

The final frame in the video provides perhaps the biggest lesson for Democrats when it comes to their “blue wave” continually fizzling out at the ballot box.

“Moral Victories Don’t Get A Vote In Congress,” the screen reads.

Neither will Democrats who come close in elections but can’t get across the finish line.
