Reporter Mocks America As The Real ‘S***hole Country’

Julia Ioffe, a correspondent for GQ Magazine, mocked President Trump and America as a “s*** hole country” after news that the United States reportedly has more coronavirus cases than any other nation.

Ioffe, whose work has appeared at outlets such as the Washington Post and the New York Times, referenced a controversial comment made some time ago by President Trump regarding illegal immigration.

Hatred For America

Ioffe was responding to a New York Times report that America had surpassed China and Italy for the total number of coronavirus cases.

“In the United States, at least 81,321 people are known to have been infected with the coronavirus, including more than 1,000 deaths — more cases than China, Italy or any other country has seen, according to data gathered by The New York Times,” a report shared by Ioffe reads.

Of course, you’d have to take China’s self-reported numbers at face value for that to be true, so an argument could be made. And Iran for that matter.

Ioffe, undeterred, pounced on the news to reveal her hatred for America.

“Who’s the s***hole country now?” she tweeted.

Who’s the shithole country now?

Enemy of the People

Is it even vaguely startling that the President of the United States despises the media when this is what they actually think about America?

This is what leads Trump, as he did on Wednesday, to excoriate the media for producing fake news and explaining of such reports: “I have no time for stupidity.”

A real reporter would put those numbers in context.

They would note that statistics show the mortality rate for the cases reported in the United States stands currently at 1.5 percent.

In China, it is 4.0 percent. Italy, 10.2 percent.

People are sick and dying.
Frontline medical professionals are working 24/7.
Americans are risking their lives to help each other
You are a shithole person.

Ioffe’s Vulgar History ioffe america

Ioffe has a rich history of making vile statements. Yet, she somehow manages to maintain employment in the field of political journalism.

In 2018, during an appearance with CNN’s Jake Tapper, Ioffe commented that “this president [Trump] has radicalized so many more people than ISIS ever did.”

The statement led President Trump to refer to her as “some kind of a sick woman.”

Trump weighs in on far-left writer Julia Ioffe after her comments today on CNN, says, “Well that must be some kind of a sick woman.”

Ioffe, who did not receive any pushback from CNN’s Jake Tapper, said that Trump has “radicalized so many more people than ISIS ever did.”

In 2016, that same sick woman had been fired by Politico over a vulgar tweet in which she insinuated the President and daughter Ivanka Trump had engaged in incest.
