Rep. Gaetz Mocks Ladies of ‘The View’: Just Wondering If You Were Wearing Black Because the Political Left Died Last Night

Could not load the poll.

BEHAR: “Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz is one of the guys in the White House — one of the White House’s strongest and most vocal supporters since day one. Please welcome a man who has obviously never watched ‘The View,’ Congressman Matt Gaetz. Hello.” [crosstalk]

GAETZ: “Thank you for having me.”

BEHAR: “You have watched.”

GAETZ: “I do watch. You guys make news every week. So, it’s an honor.”

BEHAR: “Every day. We are the big political show.”

GAETZ: “I was just wondering if you were wearing black as a consequence of like the death of the political left in the debate last night. It was quite something to observe.”

BEHAR: “You know, don’t count the dead yet, the bodies. Let’s give it a little time before we count —“

GAETZ: “Well, Joe Biden at least. I mean, I was hoping that maybe Whoopi’s bell could wake up the Biden campaign. If you hit it —“ [crosstalk]

BEHAR: “I thought actually he didn’t do any harm to himself last night.”

GAETZ: “What state’s he going to win? I mean, this is a man — the fundamental premise of the Biden campaign is that he’s electable and he can’t seem to win election. So now you have socialist Bernie Sanders against billionaire Michael Bloomberg.”

HOSTIN: “Oh, yeah.”

BEHAR: “Well, the Republicans love a billionaire, they love money, so what is he talking about?”

GAETZ: “Well, Michael Bloomberg used to be a Republican. It’s fascinating that right now —“

BEHAR: “No, he was a Democrat first.

GAETZ: “— the Democratic Party is likely not going to nominate a Democrat. They’re either going to nominate a socialist or someone who some time ago was a Republican.” [crosstalk]

HOSTIN: “Who do you think can beat Trump?

GAETZ: “None of them.”
