Democrat Representatives Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar took turns defending Palestinian rocket attacks on Israel this past weekend.
As the Washington Post reported, Palestinian militants “launched a barrage of more than 600 rockets” into Israel killing four civilians. Israel responded with more than 300 targeted airstrikes.
The Jerusalem Post described the attack as an “Islamic Jihad,” noting that several more people are in critical condition while dozens have been wounded prior to a ceasefire.
Tlaib (D-MI) and Omar (D-MN) both took to social media to vociferously oppose Israel’s right to defend itself, and express views counter to American foreign policy.
Tlaib Accuses Israel of Targeting Children and Families
Tlaib took exception with a New York Times headline that described the terrorists as “Gaza militants,” saying such reporting “dehumaniz[es] our Palestinian people.”
Our? Does that not raise alarm bells for everyone in Congress that she views the Palestinians as “our” people?
The rabid anti-Semite then falsely accused Israel of “unjustly oppress[ing] and target[ing] Palestinian children and families.”
When will the world stop dehumanizing our Palestinian people who just want to be free? Headlines like this & framing it in this way just feeds into the continued lack of responsibility on Israel who unjustly oppress & target Palestinian children and families. #FreePalestine https://t.co/p3X3j8WtwM

Omar Also Accuses Israel of Killing Little Kids
Omar, another well-documented anti-Semite, also accused Israel of causing the deaths of little children for having the audacity to defend themselves from a barrage of hundreds of rockets.
“How many more protesters must be shot, rockets must be fired, and little kids must be killed until the endless cycle of violence ends?” she asked.
The answer, of course, is zero, as soon as Palestinian terrorists stop attacking Israel. Omar’s comments are practically talking points straight from Hamas.
How many more protesters must be shot, rockets must be fired, and little kids must be killed until the endless cycle of violence ends?
The status quo of occupation and humanitarian crisis in Gaza is unsustainable. Only real justice can bring about security and lasting peace.

Hamas has been listed as a terrorist organization by the U.S. Department of State since 1997.
They Despise Israel
Despite Israel being an ally of the United States, Tlaib and Omar have long-expressed views of hostility.
Omar, meanwhile, has attended conferences for groups with ties to Hamas and urged Muslims there to stand up, “raise hell,” and “make people uncomfortable.”
She has taken part in a travel delegation sponsored by ‘Witness For Peace,’ an organization with at least one board member that has ties to a Palestinian activist who has previously called for the “eradication of Israel.”
When will their colleagues in Congress inform Tlaib and Omar that they are duty-bound to defend our allies?
