Rand Paul: Every Democrat Voted For Rule Resulting in Insurance Cancellations

One of the millions who have lost their health insurance plan in recent weeks?  Thank a Dem!

Rand Paul spoke to the Charleston Meeting last week, stating that the rule that has directly resulted in policy cancellations was written by the President himself weeks after Obamacare had passed.  And when it came time to vote on the new rule,  every Democrat voted yes while every Republican voted against – a straight party line vote.

Via Adrienne’s Corner (h/t Weasel Zippers):

“I’m still learning about it. It’s 20,000 pages of regulations. The bill was 2,000 pages and I didn’t realize this until this week, the whole idea of you losing or getting your insurance cancelled wasn’t in the original Obamacare. It was a regulation WRITTEN BY PRESIDENT OBAMA, three months later.

So we had a vote, this is before I got up there. The Republicans had a vote to try to cancel that regulation so you COULDN’T BE CANCELLED, to grandfather everybody in. You know what the vote was? Straight party line. EVERY DEMOCRAT VOTED TO KEEP THE RULE THAT CANCELS YOUR INSURANCE.”

Of course this coincides directly with Senator Kirsten Gillibrand’s recent admission that her Democrat colleagues all knew the President was lying about keeping your insurance plan.
