Pro-Trump Signs Appear Throughout Jerusalem As U.S. Embassy Opens

“Trump – Make Israel Great.”

Those are the words adorning banners hung up throughout the city of Jerusalem as the official transfer of the U.S. embassy to that city is took place on Monday.

The banners have been placed by the Friends of Zion Museum in the midst of pro-American sentiments rising in Israel.

Other banners also say “Trump is a friend of Zion.”

The museum held a gala dinner celebrating the historic move, which involved top members of the Trump administration, and where the Friends of Zion Award were announced, an award previously won by President’s Trump and George W. Bush.

I’m driving in #Jerusalem right now and this is what it looks like!

There are “Trump Make #Israel Great” signs on the traffic lights, & American flags flying next to Israeli flags all around the capital of Israel!

It’s an incredible sight to see! Thank you @realDonaldTrump!

The President has reversed a decades-long trend of American leaders who vowed to move the embassy but ultimately did not.

I fulfilled my campaign promise – others didn’t!

“Congress recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital in 1995 in a bill President Clinton declined to veto,” the Wall Street Journal wrote in an op-ed. “Other Presidents have agreed in principle, and even campaigned on it … The difference is that Mr. Trump apparently meant what he said as a candidate.”

Aside from the banners, Israel has already announced that a new high-speed rail station being built near the Western Wall will be named in honor of President Trump.

“The Western Wall is the holiest place for the Jewish people,” Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz said. “I decided to name the train station that leads to it after President Trump – following his historic and brave decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of the State of Israel.”

The museum announced that 150 of the pro-Trump banners will be placed on buildings and buses throughout the city. But it’s also the people themselves who are saying ‘thank you’ to the American president for keeping his promise.

Arrived in Israel a few hours ago and I’ve already been stopped three times by people who want to thank America for @realDonaldTrump

Who would have thought that being a true friend to our allies in the world would actually be appreciated the way it has?
