A blistering report has surfaced indicating President Obama’s Justice Department intentionally discriminated against military veterans for two job positions, even holding meetings with the applicants to pressure them into withdrawing their applications.
When they refused and human resources instructed the division that they would have to hire the veterans, they instead withdrew the job postings, then relisted them a year later with specific qualifications that excluded veterans.
It doesn’t get much more malicious and intentional than that.
Via the Washington Times:
Under federal law, veterans should have gotten preferential consideration for the two positions in the International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program.
But Justice officials had their eye on non-veterans, and scheduled meetings off-site to try to force the veteran candidates to withdraw their applications, the U.S. Office of Special Counsel said.
The veterans refused to withdraw and human resources told the ICITAP hiring officials that they had to hire the veterans.
Intent on avoiding that, the ICITAP then canceled the initial job-postings and re-listed the jobs a year later, in 2016, with new qualifications that excluded the veterans, the OSC’s investigative report said.

The U.S. Office of Special Counsel said it was more than just shameful, it was illegal.
During his campaign in 2012, Obama was more than willing to use military veterans as a prop to help get elected. He vowed to create a veterans job corps, “so we can put our returning heroes back to work as cops and firefighters in communities that need them.”
Obama never created that veterans job corps. He wasn’t even willing to put two veterans back to work for his own Justice Department.
