Obama to Dems: Quit Crying About Trump and Do Something About It

Barack Obama responded to Democrats pining for his return to politics so he can save them from President Trump by telling them to stop moping and actually do something about it.

“Enough moping, this is a mope-free zone,” Obama lectured the crowd.

He added that if you’re not making sacrifices the way he has in life, “then you can do more.”

“If you are one of these folks who is watching cable news at your cocktail parties with your friends and you are saying ‘civilization is collapsing’ and you are nervous and worried, but that is not where you are putting all your time, energy and money, then either you don’t actually think civilization is collapsing … or you are not pushing yourself hard enough and I would push harder.”

Like, becoming a community organizer?

Obama’s remarks are especially rich when you take into account the fact that he moped, whined, cried, and shouted racism any time something went wrong during his presidency.

He spent years whining about the media, whining about Republicans, whining about racist conservatives, and even whining about the Founding Fathers.

This is a man who left the White House also repining that people voted for Trump over a continuation of his policies because of big bad Fox News.

“I think that part of it has to do with our inability, our failure, to reach those voters effectively,” he asserted. “Part of it is Fox News in every bar and restaurant in big chunks of the country…”

Well, somebody has to report the facts in a fair and balanced way.

It’s also very difficult to take Obama seriously as a tough ‘do something about it’ fighter as he is asking Democrats to become. Especially when you remember these fantastic images.

Aside from the moping and whining, another strong trait of the former President has been that of narcissism. And during his lecture to Democrats, Obama didn’t disappoint on this front.

The reason they lost the presidential election, you see, is because everybody was focused on him.

In a subtle response to recent columns asking why he hasn’t been there to help save the Democrat party, the former President responded that nobody should wait around for the man who gives them a tingle.

“Where is Barack Obama?” New York magazine screamed.

“Do not wait for the perfect message, don’t wait to feel a tingle in your spine because you’re expecting politicians to be so inspiring and poetic and moving that somehow, ‘OK, I’ll get off my couch after all and go spend the 15-20 minutes it takes for me to vote,'” he said, clearly referring to the perceived effect he has on people.

“If I have a regret during my presidency, it is that people were so focused on me and the battles we were having,” he added, “particularly after we lost the House, that folks stopped paying attention up and down the ballot.”

Folks stopped paying attention when they realized your presidency was a disaster for America and the media and Republicans weren’t going to do a damn thing about it.
