Obama Has Been Discussing VP Picks With Biden – Has to Be a Woman Who Can Fill In If Something Happens

Former President Barack Obama has been discussing potential running mates with Joe Biden, with the most important criteria being a bit of a shocker. biden vp

Biden himself relayed that he and Obama have had conversations about who should be the Vice President were he to defeat President Trump in November.

The Democrat frontrunner for the nomination revealed the private conversations in a video call with donors according to the New York Post.

Will Joe Biden defeat President Trump?

Most Important Factor

Biden began by explaining whomever he chooses must be in sync with his policies and platforms. Not all that unreasonable a request.

“It’s going to be important that whomever I pick is completely comfortable with my policy prescriptions as to how we move forward,” Biden said. “Doesn’t mean I don’t want, as Barack asked for, someone questioning me, challenging me, I do want that.”

But that’s not the most important factor, according to Biden. That would be the capability of the person to step into the Presidency should something catastrophic happen.

“The most important thing … is that there has to be someone who, the day after they’re picked, is prepared to be president of the United States of America if something happened,” he divulged.

Doubled Down On Need For Someone To Fill In Immediately

Biden later reiterated the same notion, indicating that his possible inability to actually serve as President on day one is a concern.

“They have to be prepared,” Biden explained. “Once I pick someone, God willing, if I’m the nominee, that there’s not going to be any snafu.”

‘Snafu’ is a strange way to say ‘I’m not confident I have the ability – physical, mental, or otherwise – to actually carry out the duties in which I am asking the American people to entrust me with.’

This isn’t the first time Joe has been fixated with needing someone to fill in from day one. And it doesn’t exactly instill confidence.

At a town hall event in Iowa this past month, Biden suggested his pick for vice president had to be “capable of being president because I’m an old guy.”

Biden and Obama have apparently decided whoever fills the role has to be a woman. Not the most qualified candidate. Not the person most capable of actually serving on day one.

No, Joe wants to play politics and use a woman to get the female vote from Trump in 2020.

It’s a dangerous political game.

Despite Obama’s suggestion that women are ‘indisputably better than men’ when it comes to leadership, the thought of Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, Stacey Abrams, or Amy Klobuchar becoming President by default, when they couldn’t even win their own party’s nomination, may not be the greatest result. (If Trump had Nikki Haley on the other hand …)

And let’s not forget that for all of their denials of interest, Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama are still lurking out there as a possible running mate for Biden.
