As if they weren’t aware of their role already as lapdogs for liberal politicians, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi urged reporters at a press briefing last week to “be messengers” for the Democrat party.
When asked why the Democrats message that Republicans are “anti-government” and that they’re bent on impeaching the President wasn’t catching on with the general public, Pelosi called upon reporters to help Democrats. (h/t Daily Caller):
“Well, first of all, we need you to be messengers about what is actually going on here,” she said.
“But apart from that, we have come forth our middle-class jump start. Over the month of August, we go forward with how the jump start talks about bringing jobs home. The Republicans have tax breaks to send jobs overseas. Democrats wants tax breaks to keep jobs here at home.”
Granted, a vast majority of the mainstream media already goes to bat for the Democrat party. But it’s good to get a public view of the coercion tactics and arm-wringing that helps persuade the media to confirm their bias.
A recent report shows that four times as many journalists identify as Democrat as opposed to Republican. Journalists that consider themselves Republican came in at a mere 7%.
