A minor league baseball team is apologizing “unconditionally” after featuring Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in a video amongst America’s “enemies of freedom.”
Were they really that far off?
The Memorial Day tribute video was shown in between a doubleheader for the Fresno Grizzlies, a Triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals.
In it, audio of the late President Ronald Reagan’s first inaugural address is played while patriotic photos and images honoring veterans were shown to the crowd.
“As for the enemies of freedom, those who are potential adversaries, they will be reminded that peace is the highest aspiration of the American people,” Reagan says. “We will negotiate for it, sacrifice for it; we will not surrender for it, now or ever.”
Images of those enemies are displayed such as dictators Kim Jong Un and Fidel Castro. In between, however, was an image of the socialist Democrat from New York.
The video also included several images of radical Antifa protesters.

The video, posted on YouTube, has received over three times as many likes as dislikes, while it currently gets flooded by viewers and critics alike after the controversy.
Fresno apologized for the oversight. The video appears to be a legitimate video tribute to Reagan’s tremendous speech for much of the time, but manages to slip in a few images in jest.
“We’re embarrassed we allowed this video to play without seeing it in its entirety first,” the team said through a statement. “We unconditionally apologize to Rep. Ocasio Cortez in addition to our fans, community and those we hurt. It was a mistake and we will ensure that nothing like this ever happens again.”

Don’t be so hard in yourself, Fresno. Ms. Ocasio-Cortez frequently speaks and jumps to conclusions without actually researching beforehand. She can totally relate.
Are Socialists Enemies of America?
Ocasio-Cortez, who along with her Democrat freshman colleagues Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar, are fans of a form of government that has been championed by dictators.
Tlaib and Ocasio-Cortez are members of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), while Omar has been accused of “choos[ing] socialism over freedom.”
President Donald Trump slams socialism: “America was founded on liberty and Independence and not government coercion, domination, and control. We are born free and we will stay free.”
“America will never be a socialist country.”

Earlier this year, Ocasio-Cortez refused to denounce Venezuela’s brutal dictator Nicolas Maduro, placing her firmly on the side of America’s enemies.
Thus far, the congresswoman has declined to comment on the video, striking in and of itself as she rarely misses an opportunity to play the victim of criticism she deems sexist.
