In an interview with Stephen Colbert discussing her memoir “Becoming,” Michelle Obama compared America under President Trump to living with a negligent father.

Trump, you see, is the divorced dad who likes to give his kids things that are bad for them just to make them happy and create the impression that he is the good, fun parent.

“We come from a broken family, we are a little unsettled,” Obama told the audience.

The best part is that she wasn’t even in the United States when she mocked Americans for being a bunch of easily swayed children from a broken family. This interview took place in London.

“Sometimes you spend the weekend with divorced dad,” Obama continued. “That feels like fun but then you get sick. That is what America is going through. We are living with divorced dad.”

Ripped Trump Even Further

Obama, a bitter human being even before she ever became First Lady, continued disparaging the current President to an eager lapdog in Colbert.

“For anyone who had any problems with Barack Obama, let’s just think about what we were troubled by – there were never any indictments,” she claimed.

To be fair, that’s only because his former Secretary of State managed to escape indictment by corrupt leadership at the FBI. His Attorney General in Eric Holder managed to escape it for running guns to Mexican drug cartels because they stonewalled the investigation so long.

And it takes a certain level of arrogance to make such a claim when former Obama White House counsel, Greg Craig, was indicted just last week on two charges of lying to federal investigators.

Mrs. Obama went on to suggest that the President was in over his head from the start.

“It is like swimming in the ocean with great waves,” she said of being in the White House. “If you are not a great swimmer, you are not going to learn in the middle of a tidal wave. You are going to resort to your kicking and drowning and what you knew how to do in the pool.”

A Bad Parent

This isn’t the first time the former First Lady compared President Trump to a bad parent while claiming that her own husband was the good father.

Last year she told a tale of Trump being the bad parent who allows you to eat candy and stay up late at night watching cartoons. By contrast, her husband was a good parent who was responsible and guided you to do the right things in life.

“For the eight years Barack was president, it was like having the ‘good parent’ at home. The responsible parent, the one who told you to eat your carrots and go to bed on time,” she alleged.

“And now we have the other parent,” she added. “We thought it’d feel fun, maybe it feels fun for now because we can eat candy all day and stay up late, and not follow the rules.”

Actually, I’d say the guy who let illegals run roughshod over our borders is the bad parent, while the guy enforcing our laws is the good one.
