Man at De Blasio Inauguration Caught Coaching Crowd to Cheer

It’s not about accurately recording the event as it happens for a news report.  It’s about creating a false sense of historic excitement amongst the people of New York.

Whoops.  A video released by the New York City Mayor’s Office on YouTube shows ‘throngs’ of cheering people as Bill de Blasio heads to his inauguration yesterday.  But at one point, you can see a man in the background emphatically coaching the crowd to keep up their cheers, which had at that point dissipated.  The crowd dutifully responds.

Watch closely at the 4:15 and then again at the 4:23 mark, as a man closely resembling Pajama Boy starts pumping up the crowd.

Is this live coverage of an inauguration in New York City, or the crowd getting prepped for fake cheers at the onset of the Tonight Show?
