2020 Election

Kayleigh McEnany Fires Back at Fox News and Neil Cavuto For Cutting Away From Her Press Conference

Kayleigh McEnany, in an interview with Just the News, predicted the Trump campaign’s election lawsuits will reach the Supreme Court in weeks, and also responded to a controversial move by Fox News host Neil Cavuto to cut away from a recent press conference on alleged voter fraud.

The President’s team filed a federal lawsuit in Michigan today citing “multiple witness accounts of irregularities, incompetence, and unlawful vote counting.”

They have legal challenges ongoing in other states pivotal to the election results as well, including Pennsylvania.

She reminded supporters that their legal battles are currently at the district court level, but good news could be on the horizon.

“I think at this point, it probably will make its way up to the Supreme Court,” McEnany said.

Were President Trump's four years in office a success?

“Right now we’re at the district court level,” she continued. “And we will see how they rule in Pennsylvania and on our upcoming lawsuits here in Michigan and elsewhere. And I think it’s really anyone’s guess where this goes.”

Kayleigh McEnany – Lawsuits to Hit Supreme Court

President Trump and his campaign have been looking forward to litigation proceeding to the Supreme Court stage where they feel they will be an edge.

As the President has rightly said, the Supreme Court must resolve the crucial contested legal question of an extension of mail-in ballots.

They have called the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s extension of the mail-in ballot receipt deadline “unlawful.”

“The law is on President Trump’s side: as the Eighth Circuit just said, to change the ballot receipt deadline is in fact a change of the time, place, and manner of the election — and only a state legislature or the United States Congress can do that under the Constitution,” a statement reads.

McEnany Fires Back at Fox News and Neil Cavuto

McEnany also took an opportunity to respond to Fox News and host Neil Cavuto, after the latter cut away from a press conference held by the Trump campaign regarding alleged voter fraud.

McEnany at the time claimed that the campaign “want(s) every legal vote to be counted, and we want every illegal vote …” before Cavuto interjected.

“Whoa, whoa, whoa – I just think we have to be very clear,” he said.

“She’s charging the other side as welcoming fraud and welcoming illegal voting,” Cavuto continued.

“Unless she has more details to back that up, I can’t in good countenance continue to show you this.”

McEnany told Just the News that she was merely trying to point out problems in the election system as they currently stand. Problems the Democrat party seems content with.

“It’s a tenet of the Republican Party to support voter identification because to not support it welcomes fraud,” she said. “It’s a basic principle and it’s one that I don’t believe should be censored by the media but allowed to be said.”

“The Democrats – they tried to delegitimize the 2016 election for four years,” McEnany continued. “All we’re asking for is transparency. And we have the media attacking us simply for asking to put light on the system.”

Fox has taken a lot of heat for running cover for Democrats and Joe Biden. Including from one of their own anchors.

During a broadcast earlier this week, Carlson took a subtle jab at Cavuto and Fox News for making the decision to cut away from McEnany.

“In a democracy, you can’t ignore honest questions from citizens,” Carlson said.

“You can’t dismiss them out of hand as crazy or immoral for asking,” he continued. “You can’t just cut away from coverage you don’t like.”

If the Supreme Court rules in Trump’s favor, will Fox News simply refuse to cover the story?

As a former high school English Department chair, I know the power of a good testing program, such as California Language Assessment Program, which tested the ability of students to write eight different modes of writing, providing specific information to teachers so that we could adjust our methods accordingly.
