Juan Williams Dismisses Peter Fonda’s Tweets Threatening Barron Trump as ‘Poorly Worded’

It wasn’t the reprehensible threats against a minor that were the problem. It was the way he said it.

This, seemingly is the conclusion Juan Williams came to after actor Peter Fonda tweeted a disgustingly detailed tweet about kidnapping President Trump and First Lady Melania’s son.

“We should rip Barron Trump from his mother’s arms and put him in a cage with pedophiles,” Fonda said.

Williams, a panelist on “The Five,” dismissed Fonda’s comments as simply being “poorly worded,” only critiquing the “offensive language,” a stance that caused quite an uproar on the set.

“I’m not going to ask you to defend this, I know you found this disgusting,” co-host Greg Gutfeld said.

“No, to me it was a poorly worded tweet, offensive language used,” Williams responded.

He then complained that his colleagues were using Fonda’s tweets to take the focus off the real issue.

“What strikes me from this very conversation is that you guys delight in it because it takes away from the conversation focusing on what President Trump did which is antithetical to American values,” Williams said.

Wow, just wow.

“That’s not poorly worded,” Kimberly Guilfoyle admonished.

“What Peter Fonda did was indefensible,” she said, adding it was a “criminal sexual act by a sexual predator against a child. That’s not poorly worded.”

Williams concluded that Fonda is simply a “Hollywood celebrity acting like a fool.”

No, he made a tangible threat against the President’s son. Fools in this day and age are dangerous. Does anyone remember what James Hodgkinson did?

In fact, the First Lady thought it was much more than a “poorly worded” tweet, notifying the Secret Service of Fonda’s comments.

“The tweet is sick and irresponsible and USSS has been notified,” Stephanie Grisham, spokesperson for the Office of the First Lady said.

Viewers were not pleased with Williams’ comments.

Fonda has since deleted the tweet and issued an apology of sorts, claiming he was spurred on by Trump’s border policies.

“I tweeted something highly inappropriate and vulgar about the president and his family in response to the devastating images I was seeing on television,” he said in a statement.

Will Williams make an apology as well?
