Rep. Ilhan Omar, during a foreign policy panel over the weekend, wondered whether or not American-born citizens are as patriotic as she is.

Omar, who fled Somalia and came to the United States when she was 12-years-old, made the curious claim at the liberal Netroots Nation conference in Philadelphia.

She joked about her numerous past anti-Semitic comments, which included references to Israel as “evil” and numerous repeated anti-Semitic tropes.

“Something that I get criticized for all the time,” said Omar. “It’s not what you think, so don’t gasp.”

She then mentioned the charge of being anti-American, which she most assuredly is.

“It is that I am anti-American because I criticize the United States,” Omar continued. “I believe, as an immigrant, I probably love this country more than anyone that is naturally born and because I am ashamed of it continuing to live in its hypocrisy.”

Unfortunately, your words and actions betray you, Ms. Omar.

“We export American exceptionalism, the great America, the land of liberty and justice,” she continued. “If you ask anybody walking on the side of the street somewhere in the middle of the world they will tell you, ‘America the great,’ but we don’t live those values here.”

“That hypocrisy is one that I am bothered by. I want America the great to be America the great.”

Trump Hammered Omar

Over the weekend, President Trump hammered Omar on social media for complaining about America, essentially saying if you don’t like it, leave it.

“These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough,” he added. “I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!”

Omar Doesn’t Love America

Suffice it to say, Omar doesn’t love this country more than American-born citizens. She doesn’t love this country, period.

“As Members of Congress, the only country we swear an oath to is the United States,” Omar shot back at the President. “Which is why we are fighting to protect it from the worst, most corrupt and inept president we have ever seen.”

Bless your heart. Obama isn’t in office anymore, dear, and you might want to read that oath over a few more times.
