A series of verbal missteps has Fox News political analyst Brit Hume wondering if Democrat frontrunner Joe Biden is “getting senile.”
But Hume isn’t speaking ill without quantifying that he too, at his age, has experienced similar moments.
Hume told Fox News personality Tucker Carlson that Biden, the 77-year-old former vice president and senator from Delaware is, “like so many people his age, is losing his memory and is getting senile.”
Hume expanded on those comments by drawing from his own experience at the age of 76.
“I don’t think there’s any doubt about this,” Hume explained. “I have traces of this myself. I know what it feels like. Sometimes you’re confused, sometimes you can’t remember, ‘What are you supposed to do the next morning?'”
“And I’m not running for president and it’s probably a good thing I’m not,” he joked.
Biden Can’t Remember What State He’s In
A recent video of Biden trying to recite the Declaration of Independence seems to exemplify Hume’s claims of forgetfulness.
“We hold these truths to be self-evident.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident. All men and women created by the — you know — you know the thing,” Biden recited, using a draft version we’ve apparently never seen.
Hume’s Opinion joe biden senile
It’s important to note that this is simply Hume’s opinion and not an assessment by any means on anybody else’s part.
The Fox News political analyst made the same assertion during Super Tuesday coverage last week but was quickly shut down by others on the panel.

“I think that over time, the danger for him and for his party is that he may say something that’s so outlandish and so suggestive that his cognitive faculties have failed him, that Democratic voters are going to say, ‘Oh, my Lord, what have we got here?’” Hume claimed.
Perhaps that is why House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn recently advised the DNC to shut down any further primaries or debates before something is said that Joe Biden “cannot overcome.”
