For the Economically Savvy Serial Killer: NY Auctioning Off a Morgue Refrigerator

image

Need to store four bodies, but just haven’t found the right bargain?  Well now’s your chance to begin an enterprising career in serial murders, with a morgue refrigerator now being auctioned off by the state of New York.

Via Capitol Confidential:

The Cuomo administration has trumpeted its use of the online auction site eBay as its preferred method of selling random state assets, from cars to trains to prisons.

And now, a morgue refrigerator.

For a minimum bid of $10, the state Office of Mental Health is offering a morgue refrigerator currently sitting in the Manhattan Psychiatric Center.

$10?!  These prices are absolutely insane!

No time for maintenance on your dead body storage devices?  No problem.  This icebox, while “used previously”, comes working right out of the box, and “is fully operational and functions as intended”.

Not convinced?  Picture this.

You’ve been working hard.  You’ve got not one, not two, not three, but four bodies piled up in your little Frigidaire chest freezer in the basement.  It’s time to store those puppies in style.  This morgue refrigerator sports four, count ‘am four, separate body bays for maximum preservation power.

All sales are final.  Eternally final.

And if you think I’m kidding about this, check out the listing on eBay.
