As you read the following quotes, try to imagine if anybody – ANYBODY – in the Trump Administration said the same exact thing today. What would the reaction be?

Sahil Kapur, the national correspondent for Bloomberg News, reminds us that then-Senator Barack Obama in 2006 once wrote that he felt “resentment” towards Mexican flag-waving illegal immigrant supporters.

“When I see Mexican flags waved at pro-immigration demonstrations,” he wrote in his book, The Audacity of Hope, “I sometimes feel a flush of patriotic resentment.”

Hey now, mister. We’ve been told for the last two years that ‘patriotic resentment’ towards illegal immigrants is nationalist and racist. How can this be?

Obama goes on to say something even more ‘racist’ – that he finds it super annoying to have to speak to somebody who doesn’t speak English. GASPS!

“When I’m forced to use a translator to communicate with the guy fixing my car, I feel a certain frustration,” Obama opined.

It’s clear that the Overton Window is just a very short couple of years, since Obama made these comments in a book published in 2006, and was nominated for president by the pro-illegal immigration party known as the Democrats less than two years later.

Obama added that the “influx of mostly low-skill workers” that make up the bulk of illegal immigrants entering the United States “threatens to depress further the wages of blue-collar Americans.”

And right there, in his very own words, you have the exact reason Donald Trump won the election in 2016. Blue-collar Americans were tired of Mexican flag-waving illegals further limiting their wages and employment options.

So the future President claimed at one point to resent people that wave Mexican flags in the U.S. Huh …

Was he wrong then? Does this bother you?

Or this?

Do you, too, feel ‘patriotic resentment?’

As for the pro-illegal party, including the clearly evolved Barack Obama, answer this question – How can somebody proudly wave the flag of Mexico while simultaneously considering it punishment to be sent back there?

You, the reader, can’t ask that question. You just have to accept it according to the modern day Democratic Party.

Even in that regard, Obama once disagreed.

“Native-born Americans suspect that it is they, and not the immigrant, who are being forced to adapt,” he said, a fear he described as “not irrational.”
