A Clinton-backed group is reportedly behind a fake 35-page dossier purporting to provide evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. The documents also contained salacious allegations about then-candidate Donald Trump.
According to the New York Post, it was a pro-Democrat organization that promoted the unverified document and it’s contents which were damaging to the President.
The firm – Fusion GPS – has been stalling investigators who have asked questions and requested documents regarding funding of the dossier.
Via the New York Post:
A secretive Washington firm that commissioned the dubious intelligence dossier on Donald Trump is stonewalling congressional investigators trying to learn more about its connections to the Democratic Party.
What is the company hiding? Fusion GPS describes itself as a “research and strategic intelligence firm” founded by “three former Wall Street Journal investigative reporters.” But congressional sources say it’s actually an opposition-research group for Democrats, and the founders, who are more political activists than journalists, have a pro-Hillary, anti-Trump agenda.
Fusion GPS has funded efforts to dig up dirt on Mitt Romney, as well as launching investigations against pro-life activists on behalf of Planned Parenthood.

One of the key co-founders and partner in the group, along with his wife, were Hillary Clinton donors and supporters of her presidential campaign.
This is a truly astonishing development. A pro-Hillary, pro-Democrat group produced an unverified document that the media – particularly Buzzfeed and CNN – ran as an actual news story at one point. This would be the equivalent of a far-left group like the Daily Kos producing a press release and news organizations treating it as actual government research.
One congressional source explained, “These guys (Fusion) had a vested personal and ideological interest in smearing Trump and boosting Hillary’s chances of winning the White House.”
The same dossier was used by the Obama administration and the FBI to cite probable cause in their effort to spy on the Trump campaign!
Rep. Maxine Waters (D-La La Land) has even gone so far as to suggest the evidence in the dossier was “absolutely true” and grounds for impeachment.

It’s becoming readily apparent that the Trump-Russia collusion story should really be about the Democrats colluding with research firms and the media to run false stories about the President, then using those stories to spy on his campaign.
