Experts: Over 80 Million People Could Lose Their Employer-Based Health Care Plans

Obama (2009):  “If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan.  Period.  No one will take it away.  No matter what.”

Only off by about 90 million total.

Via Fox News:

Almost 80 million people with employer health plans could find their coverage canceled because they are not compliant with ObamaCare, several experts predicted.

Their losses would be in addition to the millions who found their individual coverage cancelled for the same reason.

Stan Veuger of the American Enterprise Institute said that in addition to the individual cancellations, “at least half the people on employer plans would by 2014 start losing plans as well.” There are approximately 157 million employer health care policy holders.

Avik Roy of the Manhattan Institute added, “the administration estimated that approximately 78 million Americans with employer sponsored insurance would lose their existing coverage due to the Affordable Care Act.”

So the administration estimated about 80 million canceled insurance plans, but told everybody they could keep their plan.  You were lied to repeatedly for years.  Republicans told you that you were being lied to repeatedly for years.  And yet you took him back.

Some other organizations have predicted that upwards of 100 million business policies could be canceled next year.

The President originally assured people that nobody would take their insurance away.  But somebody did take it away.

He did.
