Elizabeth Warren Caught Attending Dinner Hosted By Wall Street Executive

Elizabeth Warren, self-proclaimed champion of Main Street, attended a ritzy Martha’s Vineyard dinner hosted by a big bank executive known as “the real Wolf of Wall Street.”

Money it seems, talks, especially when you’re a Democrat hypocrite who rails against the excesses of Wall Street, but happily accepts their money.

Robert Wolf, former executive at UBS Investment Bank and a top economic adviser, donor and fundraiser for Barack Obama, hosted a donor retreat featuring Warren along with Senators Jack Reed (D-RI) and Ron Wyden (D-OR).

Seems strange seeing a Senator who equates the phrase ‘Wall Street’ with ‘economic justice’ or ‘the 1%’ hanging out with the unjust 1%.

Via the Free Beacon:

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.), one of the Senate’s fiercest Wall Street critics, attended a Democratic donor retreat over the weekend hosted by former UBS bank executive Robert Wolf, who last year lashed out against politicians that target Wall Street for political gain.

Wolf hosted Warren as part of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee’s annual donor retreat in Martha’s Vineyard. He wrote on Twitter that he was “honored” to host Warren, who was joined by other Democratic senators at the fundraiser.

Earlier this year, the Massachusetts senator hammered Obama for accepting a $400,000 speaking fee from Cantor Fitzgerald – a Wall Street investment bank.

“I was troubled by that,” Warren said of the payment arrangement.

“The influence of dollars on this place is what scares me,” she added. “I think it ultimately threatens democracy.”

Yet here she is, accepting donations and hosting services similarly from a Wall Street banker.

The hypocrisy doesn’t just flow in one direction.

Wolf, as an advocate for Hillary Clinton this past election cycle, railed against Warren, portraying her as a radical who could not win the presidency based on her treatment of Wall Street bankers and executives.

“I don’t think if [Clinton] runs, she can be forced to the left where Elizabeth Warren will likely go,” he said. “I think we’re going to stay more in the center.”

Looks like Warren is now the champion of Wall Street over Main Street, a friend to big banks over the 99%.
