Dennis Rodman Gives North Korean Leader a Copy of Trump’s Book

Dennis Rodman, basketball Hall of Famer and apparently, self-designated international peace keeper, paid a visit to North Korea and gifted their leader a copy of Donald Trump’s book, The Art of the Deal.

Rodman gave the book to North Korean Sports Minister Kim Il Guk, as a gift for leader Kim Jong Un. The former NBA star has referred to Kim previously as a “friend for life.”

Rodman has clarified his relationship with Kim as strictly about basketball, seemingly willing to overlook the North Korean leader’s execution of hundreds of his own people.

Via Fox News:

Basketball Hall-of-Famer Dennis Rodman gave a North Korean official a copy of President Trump’s book “The Art of the Deal” on Thursday.

The book given to Sports Minister Kim Il Guk was not signed by Trump, who was Rodman’s boss for two seasons of “Celebrity Apprentice” reality TV show, according to the Associated Press.

Rodman arrived in the isolated Asian nation on Tuesday for the first time in Trump’s presidency. He said he is “just trying to open a door” on a mission he thinks may get support.

Along with The Art of the Deal, Rodman offered up two autographed basketball jerseys, soap sets, a mermaid jigsaw, and the book “Where’s Waldo?”

It’s almost as if, minutes before his flight to North Korea, Rodman decided to clear out some old items from his basement.

The Washington Post opined that giving Kim a copy of Trump’s book was a “genius” move on the NBA legend’s part.

“Maybe it was a genius move for Rodman to give Kim a copy of the president’s book,” the WaPo wrote. “They might just realize they can get along.”

Why would the President want to get along with someone the United States’ Ambassador To the United Nations,  Nikki Haley, has described as ‘paranoid?’
