The silence from 2020 Democrats on the Iranian protesters shows they care more about attacking President Trump than they do about standing up for human rights around the world. democrats iranian protesters
Despite being quick to condemn President Trump for eliminating Iranian terrorist Qasem Soleimani; Bernie Sanders, Pete Buttigieg, and Elizabeth Warren have remained silent as Iranians take to the street to protest the regime.
Amy Klobuchar meanwhile released an embarrassingly pathetic statement.
People should have the right to peacefully protest in any country, including Iran.

And Joe Biden’s response to the protests was first to try to score political points by attacking President Trump.
2020 Democrats lack of support for the Iranian protests is glaring because just last week they were quick to espouse Iranian propaganda while attacking President Trump.
- Pete Buttigieg implied the U.S. was to blame for Iran shooting down a civilian plane.
Innocent civilians are now dead because they were caught in the middle of an unnecessary and unwanted military tit for tat.
My thoughts are with the families and loved ones of all 176 souls lost aboard this flight. https://t.co/zWaVgWxfdL

- Tulsi Gabbard (yes she is still running) refused to blame Iran for shooting down the Ukrainian airplane and blamed the U.S. instead.
- Elizabeth Warren pushed the conspiracy that claimed the Soleimani strike was a distraction from impeachment.
Today's reporting confirms what I said on Sunday—why did this strike happen on the eve of an impeachment trial? Trump is taking us to the edge of war for his own political benefit. It's reckless and dangerous. We must speak out. No war with Iran. https://t.co/4C1ioLVBm8 pic.twitter.com/3hHMmFUWWv

- While Sanders showed how truly dangerous his foreign policy would be as president: comparing killing Soleimani to Putin assassinating Russian dissidents, implying Soleimani was only labeled a terrorist to justify the strike, and claiming the strike could create “international anarchy.”

Bottom line: While Democrats remain silent as brave protesters take to the streets in Iran, President Trump has led on the world stage, repeatedly speaking out in support of the Iranian protesters. This shouldn’t be a partisan issue. Question for 2020 Democrats: Why were you so quick to condemn the death of an Iranian terrorist, and so silent on these protests against the Iranian regime?
