Democrat Charged With MURDER Wins Reelection, Is Sworn In From JAIL

If this isn’t a microcosm of the Democrat party, I don’t know what is.

Democrat City Councilman Robert Battle is sitting behind bars in Indiana, charged for drug possession and murder.

But that wasn’t about to hinder him from running for re-election in November. And of course, he WON.

His party repeatedly asked him to resign, but to no avail, and Battle was sworn into office – from Porter County Jail.

Via Mediaite:

In the state of Indiana, it’s hard to imagine that city officials have ever had to do what they did on Friday: actually swear in an elected City Councilman while he sat behind bars on murder and drug charges.

That’s the exact situation unfolding with Democrat Robert Battle, who won his reelection campaign in November, despite having just been arrested on charges from the federal government. He was sworn in from behind bars at Porter County Jail.

In September, Battle was arrested on a charge of marijuana possession after law enforcement stopped him for speeding in a construction zone and found 40 grams of pot in his vehicle.

A month later, Battle was charged in the shooting death of Reimundo Camarillo Jr. on October 12, 2015.

Battle will continue collecting a $42,000+ salary from behind bars until he either resigns or admits guilt.

Check out the report below …

Comment: You would think a guy on murder charges wouldn’t be able to win an election. What does this say about Democrats in Indiana? Are there any other politicians you can think of who might be sworn in from jail one day? Share your thoughts below.
