Dear Criminals: You DO NOT Want To Mess With THIS Top Gun Actress

Kelly McGillis, whose most famous role may have been from the movie Top Gun, was the victim of a home invasion recently that left her “scratched and bruised.”

McGillis was caught off guard by the situation. While she is a big Second Amendment supporter and has guns and ammunition in her home, none of that did any good because the criminal had already broken into her home when she arrived.

Now however, the actress applied and was fast-tracked for a conceal carry permit. And judging by the picture she posted to social media, criminals may want to think twice about messing with this woman.

Via Fox News:

Kelly McGillis said she plans to apply for a concealed carry gun permit after she was assaulted by an intruder in her North Carolina home Friday, June 17.

The actress, who is best known for playing Charlotte “Charlie” Blackwood in “Top Gun,” recalled the scary incident in a recent Facebook post.

“Upon entering the house I notice a pair of girls pink sandals and a black larger pair,” McGillis wrote. At first, she thought it her daughter might be home and she called out several times for her.

“[But then] a stranger, a woman, came barreling down the hallway and began yelling at me.

McGillis ran out of the house, concerned that the assailant may have taken her guns and was about to use them. She called 911, but the stranger started punching, scratching and kicking her.

The actress would eventually make it to her vehicle and escaped. The police were called, and the suspect was arrested.

So what did McGillis decide to do in response to this harrowing incident? Arm herself with a concealed carry permit.

McGillis wrote, “I have decided to get a conceal and carry permit. And you can be sure I will be setting the alarm from here on out.

The alarm might actually be a safety device for the criminals that try to break into her home again in the future.

McGillis posted an image of her first target practice after getting her permit – missing a direct bullseye only 5 times out of 30 shots.

One of her Facebook friends responded, “Good shot girl post that on your front door!”

I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had to tell someone!
