California Provides $125 Million For Stimulus Checks to Help Illegal Immigrants Cope During Coronavirus Crisis

California will be the first state in the nation to offer stimulus checks of $500 to illegal immigrants to help them cope during the coronavirus crisis.

Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom announced the plan which involves a $125 million grant for illegal aliens who have been hurt by the pandemic.

“We feel a deep sense of gratitude for people that are in fear of deportations that are still addressing essential needs of tens of millions of Californians,” Newsom said.

One question arises: How will they know where to send the checks if they’re ‘undocumented’?

Irresponsible

Shannon Grove, California’s Senate Republican Leader, blasted Newsom for using the pandemic as a time to pursue radical left-wing policies that benefit those who are in the country illegally.

Grove suggested the money would be better served stocking food banks, helping students or aiding local governments.

“Instead of meeting these urgent needs, Governor Newsom has chosen to irresponsibly pursue a left-wing path and unilaterally secured $125 million for undocumented immigrants,” she objected.

Squad Will Be Happy

We know one thing – the Squad will be absolutely thrilled with Newsom’s reckless move to provide money to illegal immigrants.

They’ve been complaining about it ever since the first stimulus effort was passed.

Ayanna Pressley, the Democrat Representative from Massachusetts, said investment needs to be made for “the humanity of every individual family and workers” and “that includes not leaving behind undocumented and uninsured.”

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) pushed a bill that she believes would “ensure that all noncitizens, whether holding a [Social Security Number] or not, can access these relief payments.”

And, of course, who could forget Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s famous meltdown on the House floor when arguing that illegals who pay taxes should have been considered for stimulus payments?

Shameful illegal immigrants stimulus

See how hard they fight for illegal aliens?

Remember, these are the same Democrats holding funding for small businesses in America hostage.

“As [Mitch] McConnell said last week,” the New York Post Editorial Board writes, “Dems shouldn’t block vital aid that they support just because they want other things, too.”

“Partisanship, after all, should take a back seat during this kind of crisis.”

If it wasn’t clear before, it has become crystal clear in the era of President Trump – Democrats will never prioritize the needs of the American people over the needs of those who break the law.
