It’s comments like these that cause Hillary Clinton to be viewed as a vile, contemptuous creature by many on both sides of the aisle.

During her first post-convention interview with Fox News Chris Wallace, Clinton again accused the families of those lost in Benghazi of lying over whether or not she and the Obama administration had claimed the attacks were the result of a YouTube video.

Not only did she say the families misunderstood her, but she suggested that their grief over losing loved ones was what left them confused.

On the issue of the Benghazi terror strikes, Clinton denied telling family members of people killed in the Sept. 11, 2012, incident on a U.S. outpost in Benghazi, Libya, that the attack was sparked by an anti-Islam video and was not terrorism.

She instead suggested the family members misunderstood her because they were overwhelmed by grief.

“I understand the grief and the incredible sense of loss that can motivate that,” Clinton said. “As other members of families who’ve lost loved ones have said, that’s not what they heard. I don’t hold any ill feeling for someone who, in that moment, may not fully recall everything that was or wasn’t said.”

What a horrible, horrible human being. Not only to make that suggestion, but to make it when the facts clearly bear out that the only one confused by the entire incident was Clinton herself.

During one of the Democratic debates this campaign season, Clinton said that Pat Smith, mother of Sean Smith, was “absolutely wrong” when she claimed that Hillary and the Obama administration told the victims families that Benghazi was the result of a YouTube video.

Confused, wrong, misunderstood – all words that apply more consistently to Clinton than anybody else. She has repeatedly been caught lying about what happened in Benghazi. The family members of those who died however, have been consistent in their recounting of what happened.

Four separate family members have corroborated stories that Clinton blamed the video.  Upon meeting those family members at Andrews Air Force Base on Sept 14, 2012, Clinton told the following about the video: Patricia Smith (Sean Smith’s mother), Michael Ingmire (Sean Smith’s uncle), Kate Quigley (Glen Doherty’s sister), and Charles Woods (Tyrone Woods’ father).

Woods’ father kept handwritten notes from his meeting with Clinton.  Those notes read in part:

“We are going to have the filmmaker arrested who was responsible for the death of your son.”

When the Weekly Standard’s Stephen Hayes spoke with the elder Woods, he said “I remember those words: ‘who was responsible for the death of your son.’ She was blaming him and blaming the movie.”

After her testimony before Congress earlier this year, Ingmire referred to Clinton as a “serial liar” and “definitely incompetent.”

“Hillary Clinton is a serial liar,” Ingmire told Fox News host Sean Hannity after the hearing.  She “really has a difficult time maintaining a consistent level of truth.”

He added that if Hillary isn’t complicit, “she’s definitely incompetent, and neither’s a personality trait [that] really belongs in the office of the president.”

Clinton also told the Conway Daily Sun that using Benghazi and the deaths of Americans for political purposes “dishonors them.”

It’s not their deaths that are being used for political purposes, it’s your lies and cover-up. After all, what’s more political than lying to the American people about a terrorist attack during a presidential campaign, as you did Ms. Clinton?

Your lies dishoner those dead Americans.
