The woman who sparked a topless protest against gender discrimination because she claimed she didn’t identify as either male or female, seemingly had no problem committing to one sex when she starred in an all-female cast of the Vagina Monologues a year earlier.

Cedar Brock claimed she “was scared” when she was allegedly “forced to put a shirt back on” by a security guard and responding police officers, after sunbathing nude in a city-owned park maintained by Russell Sage College in Troy, New York.

Brock, whose real name is Tonya Brock, is a student at Sage. The security guard asked her to put a shirt back on, and when she refused asked her “are you a boy or a girl?” It is a perfectly legitimate question, considering public complaints were made regarding the half-naked sunbather AND because it’s an all-women’s college.

Brock told the guard “I’m neither, I’m androgynous.”

Classmates at Sage staged a topless protest because nothing says ‘don’t judge me by my breasts’ quite like flashing them for the world to see.

Local media pounced. The Times Union called Brock’s plight the “new front” in the fight against bias and discrimination, claiming “identity is a tricky thing, and gender is one that hasn’t been as easy for the 22-year-old to figure out.”

Time Warner Cable News explained that the tricky part is that “Brock doesn’t identify as a him or a her.”

The reality is it’s not really a tricky thing at all for Brock, who had little trouble identifying as a female actress in a production of The Vagina Monologues one year ago at Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC).

The Hudsonian, HVCC’s student newspaper, describes the The Vagina Monologues as “an episodic play with an all-female cast that focuses on various experiences of women.”

Whoa, whoa, whoa there my androgynous friend.

How does one who “doesn’t identify as a him or a her” star in an all-female production … about vaginas?!

The play consisted of 17 episodes, with Brock presenting the one titled, “The Woman Who Loved to Make Vaginas Happy.”

The WOMAN. Not the androgynous being. The freaking WOMAN. I couldn’t make this s*** up if I tried.

In short, we have a woman who knows she’s a woman, who has played a woman in an all-women’s cast and currently attends an all-women’s college, pretending she’s not a woman.

When the security guard asked “are you a boy or a girl,” I’m quite certain he thought he was asking a rhetorical question.

Instead, the organization providing security to the Sage Colleges has indicated they will need diversity training for their officers over this incident.

Instead it becomes a topless protest for mindless liberals.
