Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse found proof that protesters outside the Supreme Court were ready to protest ANY nominee President Trump picked for the land’s highest court.

In other words, astroturf liberals had no idea who or what they were protesting, they just knew they wanted to protest.

Sasse posted a picture on social media that shows protesters holding up pre-printed placards that said “#STOP,” with a large blank space below, so they could write the name of whoever Trump nominated on their signs after the announcement was made.

Sasse took a shot at the signs, calling it a “Mad Lib protest.”

Via the Daily Caller:

Nebraska Sen. Ben Sasse found evidence that liberal protesters at the Supreme Court Tuesday were ready to protest any nominee put forward by President Donald Trump.

Trump nominated Judge Neil Gorsuch to be a Supreme Court associate justice.

Sasse found signs that read “Stop,” with Gorsuch’s name written in marker.

Simply, hilarious. But isn’t this where liberal protesters excel, at games for first graders such as nursery rhymes and Mad Libs?

One response to Sasse’s tweet used a South Park clip to capture the absurdity of the fill-in-the-blank signs, in which a protester just keeps flipping his placard to read whatever the crowd around him is complaining about at that moment.

These people protesting are no different than their elected officials. As we reported earlier this week, Democrats pledged to filibuster any Supreme Court nominee, regardless of who the individual turned out to be.

Our friends at Weasel Zippers wrote, “He (Trump) could have nominated Jesus and they would have protested him.”

“In fact,” they added, “had he nominated Jesus, they would have protested him more – His religiosity would have been an impediment.”

Before you scoff at the notion of a protest sign that reads ‘#STOP Jesus,’ remember this is the same group of leftists that dropped God from their platform. If they had them at the time, Democrats would have been running around with signs urging their leaders to ‘#STOP God.’
