Our America: High School Students Suspended For Chanting ‘USA’, While Illegal Immigrants Tell Congress Not to Call Them Illegal

What the hell is going on in America today?  Two very contrasting stories today show that patriotism is being punished, while law-breaking is being rewarded.

First, we have a group of high school students who were suspended for chanting ‘USA!’ and wearing American flag bandanas.

Via the National Review (h/t Memeorandum):

Four California high-school students were reportedly suspended for chanting “U.S.A! U.S.A!” and wearing American flag bandanas during a basketball game. While their punishment has since been rescinded, school administrators said “the incident is far from over.”

Oxnard Union School District superintendent Gabe Soumakian told Fox News Radio that “we need to pursue this further” and “work with teachers and students and the community about the concept of cultural proficiency.” Soumakian and Camarillo High School principal Glenn Lipman felt that the students’ actions might have had racist undertones since the schools have large Hispanic student populations.

“We wanted to make sure [their actions weren't] racially motivated, and I told the kids I just want to be sensitive to the feelings of everybody,” Lipman said.

Here’s video of the offending display…

Meanwhile, as patriotism is punished, breaking federal immigration laws is not.  Jose Antonio Vargas, an admitted illegal alien, went to Congress and scolded them for accurately referring to him as … well … illegal.

Via the Washington Times (h/t Memeorandum):

Jose Antonio Vargas, an illegal immigrant and former reporter, scolded a congressional panel on Wednesday, saying that he should not be called illegal, and saying it is an insult to his family who brought him here.

“When you inaccurately call me illegal, you not only dehumanize me, you’re offending them,” he said. “No human being is illegal.”

Mr. Vargas testified to the Senate Judiciary Committee alongside Chris Crane — a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent and president of the ICE agents’ union — who is unable to arrest him under the administration’s new non-deportation policies.

Human beings aren’t illegal, but their actions are Mr. Vargas.  Which is why you are classified as an illegal alien – because you illegally entered the country.

Vargas refers to himself as an “undocumented immigrant”, a phrase that is resoundingly inaccurate.  After all, Vargas is indeed documented through the media as being illegal.  In fact, go ahead and print out this blog post.  Once you have it on paper, you’ll have documented that Vargas is an illegal alien.

Of course, in the America of today, it’s actually pretty fashionable to break the laws of this country.  Just ask all of the illegal immigrants that joined Democrats at the State of the Union speech.

It’s funny, had the high school students chanted ‘USA!’ at the State of the Union, they would have been escorted out in handcuffs – while the illegal aliens looked on and smiled.

Even the attempt to punish patriotism is seditious. Now as far as Mr.
Vargas, you broke the law, you knew you were breaking the law, you are in the
USA illegally, and you should be deported. END OF STORY! There is a legal
method of gaining citizenship. Just like there is a way to earn money legally,
but if you steal money you will be PUNISHED. If you steal your way into America
    you will be deported.

if this doesn’t piss you off, then you need to find another country to call home.. (stating this as an American who has the distinction of being a descendant of some of the ***first*** Europeans to come here, as well as from the Natives who were ***already*** here) If you are in this nation sucking off the teat of **AMERICAN** labors and/or ***AMERICAN*** generosity, and if you don’t love this nation and what it was founded on – GET THE F*CK OUT or prepare to be removed by force.. If you cannot come to MY country and play by the same rules ***I*** have to play by without pitching a bitch-fit about it – ***LEAVE*** we don’t need or want your a$$ here ANYWAY!!! I don’t know about anyone else, but I am sick to f*cking death of this sh!t!! (sorry for the colorful language, but I’ve had my belly full of this!!! this is ***NOT*** what my ancestors fought and died for and it certainly **ISN’T** what my son is risking his life to defend!!)

I am a very patirotic person, however, I would have to agree somewhat with the principal on this. Why would students at a high school basketball game want to chant “USA, USA” and wear USA flag bandanas? There is absolutely nothing wrong with either in and of itself, and I would find it refreshing to see some younger generation with more patriotism than I usually see. However, it is very evident why these students actions were such, it was because the opposing school was predominantly Hispanic. First of all, they need to realize not all Americans are white, or black. Many Hispanic’s are citizens. Not all are here illegally, and many are actually born here, and many who are not become citizens. They are Amaricans too. As for the second issue, I would tell Mr Vargas, sorry, you have no argument whatsovever. Your arguemnt is really not about being offended by the use of the term illegal immigrant. The term is not an attack on you as a person, and it is a much more accurate description of your status in this country than “undocumented” You like that term better, b/c it implies you have done nothing illegal, as in, how you entered this country. The fact is, by your own admission, that you did not enter this country by the legal means to do so, so you are an illegal immigrant. If you don’t like that, then do something to become a “LEGAL” immigrant. But don’t worry, if the President gets his way, you will be made a citizen with the snap of his fingers. I don’t blame anyone for wanting to come to America. I also understand that many illegal immigrants are good people and just got here the only way they thought they could, and felt they could not do it othewise. Unfortunately it has become a huge problem that has ramifications to it that must be a concern for many reasons. Therefore, I do agree that we need some immigration reform in the USA, so it is not so hard for good people who want to have a better life in America, to get here w/o having to think the only plausible way they can is illegally.

There is nothing racist about ‘USA’ or american flag based bandanas. The USA is a country that is made up of many races and ethnicities. Besides, hispanic is not a race, it is a cultural sub group of white race and is primarily differentiated by spanish as their primary language. Get over your bad selves. Next they will be suspending students for saying thank God because it offends athiests or muslims. Stop looking for reasons to be different and maybe you might notice how much we are all the same.

This is the simplest example of the dissolve of what was the greatest nation in the world. The wishywashy allow the entitlement generation (illegals and American born) to rule, while the current administration both enables and orchestrates the process. Troubling thought…how will this end without a historical repeat of communism in a financially collapsed country?

Seriously? I find the first picture of the illegals scratching their genitals and shooting the bird insulting and insensitive. I bet their moms are proud of them.

“cultural proficiency” has noting to do with it. they’re here illegally shit head. that means against the law, not just because they’re Latino. IT. IS. ILLEGAL. They are stealing tax dollars and medical care form tax paying US citizens that follow the law, and if these high school kids have a job its most likely that they pay taxes, unlike those they yelled at. so they have the full right to yell what they want. Illegals should have no rights under the US constitution because they are NOT citizens. Also the last time i checked the right to free speech and freedom of opinions is still a constitutional right, so go back to school and learn something. Shut your damn Liberal mouth and look at the entire situation.
