Amos Shuchman lived a good, long life of about 85 years.  Amos was a big fan of New York City, where he enjoyed such entertainment as ballet, opera, and biking in Central Park.

But there was one thing about the Big Apple that Amos really, really hated – the newspaper of record, the “Old Gray Lady” … the New York Times.

So much so, that the family was willing to pay the Times money to publish a death notice that indicated that fact (h/t Weasel Zippers):
