Disgraced mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner, did his best impression of ‘When Nerds Attack’, playing the age card on an older opponent and taunting him with a “Grandpa” blast.

I’m sure Metamucil blasts and pillow fight challenges aren’t too far behind…

Via the New York Post:

At an AARP-Univision mayoral forum this morning, mayoral contender Anthony Weiner pulled out the age card to taunt his most vocal challengers, 69-year-old Doe Fund founder George McDonald. Weiner is 48.

Before the debate, Weiner put a hand on McDonald’s back and said hello, prompting McDonald to reply: “I would appreciate if you would never touch me again.”

Weiner retorted: “What are you going to do about it, grandpa?” according to two sources.

The feud between the two has been simmering since last week.

Simmering?  More like boiling over.

McDonald recently referred to Weiner as a “self-pleasuring freak” and expressed his dismay at having to explain to his granddaughter why the former Congressman was famous.

McDonald’s wife even jumped  into the fray, going after Huma Abedin for promoting her husband’s candidacy while criticizing Weiner’s “persistent and compulsive objectification of women.”

New York politics – never a dull moment.

Update:  Video of the exchange has surfaced, and the wording naturally was a little different from the Post report.

In the video, you can hear McDonald tell Weiner, “Don’t put your hands on me ever again.”

Weiner tells McDonald that he must have “anger issues.”  When McDonald disagrees, Weiner responds, “But you do, grandpa.”
