At a rally supposedly standing up for women’s rights and to spread a message that “love trumps hate,” one liberal in particular celebrated in a very curious way – he punched a female reporter in the face.

The incident was caught on video.

Sheila Gunn Reid, Alberta bureau chief for Rebel Media, tried to interview a man at the Women’s March, but he became ornery, cursing out the leader of her media organization, and flipping the camera off.

When Reid tried talking with the man – who looked like a hipster experiment gone wrong – things got physical.

Via TheBlaze:

“Ezra Levant, f*** you,” the man on the video said to Reid, invoking the Rebel’s head honcho as he raised a middle finger.

As Reid tried to engage the man further, he turned his back to the camera, appeared to wave at someone to his right, then turned back around — with his left-hand glove now off.

“Go away,” he said to Reid. “Get out of my f***ing face. I will break your f***ing camera.”

With that the man appeared to throw a punch that connected with the video camera — and according to Reid, her face as well.

A few women there attempted to diffuse the situation by apparently blocking Reid as the man walked away.

So … the women at a Women’s March responded to an assault on a woman by blocking her and allowing the assailant to leave? How progressive.

Watch the altercation below …

Levant wrote that “The NDP women standing right there, who saw the whole thing, immediately blocked Sheila, and helped the thug scurry away.”

Rebel Media put out a reward offer and it appears they may have located the man responsible for the attack.

Bews however, has told media outlets that he’s already spoken to police and been told he won’t face charges.

Meanwhile, Reid stood by her story and blasted the women at the march on social media.

“Are you okay? Is what a normal person would say to someone who was just assaulted,” she said. “No Women’s Marcher said that to me.”
