If everybody could shut down the know-nothing hosts on The View the way Donald Rumsfeld just did, the world would truly be a better place.

Rumsfeld, former Secretary of Defense under President George W. Bush, got into a debate with Joy Behar over the 2016 election results.

Well, perhaps debate isn’t the most appropriate description. A debate connotes a rational discussion in which both sides make valid points. This was more a debate in the sense that a hammer might have with a nail. Rumsfeld being the hammer.

The View co-host actually tried to make the tired argument that since Hillary Clinton won the popular vote, Donald Trump’s presidency is not valid.

It took all of two words for Rumsfeld to shut her down.

Take a look (relevant portion at about 1:30) …

Via BizPac Review:

“Well, [Donald Trump] lost by more than three million votes in the popular vote,” Behar told the former secretary of defense, while admitting that “he won the electoral vote.”

Rumsfeld may be 84, but his mind is as sharp as ever. He didn’t skip a beat.

“What counts?” he asked.

“Well the electoral vote counts,” Behar answered.

“I thought so,” Rumsfeld said, and that was the end of that.

Behar later admitted that she just likes to bring up the popular vote “because it annoys him (Trump),” which drew laughter from the typically left-leaning audience.

But she had already met her match.

This certainly isn’t the first time Behar has been crushed by the rare person willing to take on her ridiculous arguments.

Carly Fiorina leveled Behar for comments about the Republican female candidate’s looks this past election cycle, telling the ladies of The View that their sexist comments aimed only at conservative women were weak.

She then dared them saying, “let’s see if they have the guts to say that to my face.”

Rumsfeld didn’t just shut down ignorant insults, he shut down Behar and the left’s entire argument that Hillary was the rightful winner of the election. And he did it in just two words.
