Johnny Depp joined a long list of Hollywood liberals making unhinged comments about President Trump, saying maybe it’s time an actor assassinated another President.

Depp joins Kathy Griffin and Madonna in a growing list of celebrities who have made threats against the President. Not to mention the countless others who have fantasized about lesser degrees of violence.

Because it’s so edgy to be a part of a big group of Hollywood kooks who hate Trump, or something.

Depp spoke to a throng of admirers at a music festival in Glastonbury. When the topic of conversation turned to politics, the actor asked “It is just a question, I’m not insinuating anything… When was the last time an actor assassinated a president?”

It was a clear-cut reference to the assassination of another Republican President, Abraham Lincoln, who was killed by actor John Wilkes Booth.

He added, “Maybe it’s time.”

Simply disgraceful!

Depp, 54, was speaking to a crowd on Thursday evening as he introduced a screening of his 2004 film “The Libertine” at the music and performing arts festival. Discussion turned to the topic of U.S. President Trump.

“It is just a question, I’m not insinuating anything… When was the last time an actor assassinated a president?” Depp asked the audience, in a possible reference to actor John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated President Abraham Lincoln in 1865.

“Now I want to clarify, I’m not an actor. I lie for a living. However, it’s been a while, and maybe it’s time.”

“This is going to be in the press,” Depp said prior to making the comments. “It will be horrible.”

The press however, silently nods in agreement with threats like this, and is running cover for Depp by referring to his comments as a ‘joke’ or ‘quip.’

Further, it should be more than just ‘in the press.’ The clip should immediately be played at law enforcement agencies and evaluated as a threat against the President’s life.

Will the FBI be paying a visit to Depp anytime soon?

These comments come on the heels of a left-wing terrorist attack in which Republican congressmen were targeted for assassination on an Alexandria baseball field.

These aren’t just jokes anymore. They’re calls to violence. Depp should immediately be brought in for interrogation based on these comments. Had it been one of us making a threat against Hillary or Obama, you could damn sure bet we’d be under investigation.
