The heated contest between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders has really sent the Democrat Party into a tailspin: the preferred candidate has been bogged down by a 70 year-old socialist, accusations of the system being rigged, and everything coming to a head recently with Nevada Democrats accusing both of the campaigns of using violence and death threats.

The Boston Globe explains the rift:

Sanders forces are increasingly bitter that the Vermont senator is still winning races but can’t catch up to Clinton, who has an advantage among party leaders and “superdelegates.” Clinton backers, meanwhile, are growing impatient with Sanders’ insistence on staying in the race despite the long odds against him. The conflict has some Democratic insiders worried that their party won’t be able to unite behind Clinton.

Now even the liberal media is dipping their toes in the chaotic waters.

Liberal MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski lambasted the Democrat National Committee Chair, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, accusing her of being “unfair” to Sanders, suggesting she is one of ‘Hillary’s people’ who will demand the party ‘get in line,’ and telling her she needs to “step down.”

The in-fighting, according to Brzezinski, starts at the top.

Via Mediaite:

The liberal half of the MSNBC Morning Joe duo spoke out Wednesday morning to call for the resignation of Democratic National Committee chairwoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz for her unfair treatment of the Bernie Sanders campaign.

“This has been very poorly handled from the start,” Mika Brzezinski said. “It has been unfair and they haven’t taken him seriously, and it starts quite frankly with the person we just heard speaking. It just does. You know that.”

“She should step down,” Brzezinski put in “She should step down.”

Co-host Joe Scarborough asked Brzezinski why the Democrats would have the audacity to assume Sanders should just fall in line for Hillary.

She sarcastically responded, “Because Hillary Clinton’s people said so.”

Scarborough added, “If the party I was a member of treated me like this, rigged the debate process… I’d say go straight to hell, I’m running as an independent.”
