A blistering new report from Politico shows the sheer incompetence of the Clinton campaign leading up to the election, and may be a significant factor in why she suffered a shocking loss to Donald Trump.

In ironic fashion, top aides to Hillary’s campaign were concerned that she would lose the popular vote to Trump, and only win the Electoral College – the only thing that matters in deciding the next President! As it turns out Trump lost the popular vote, but won the electoral vote, giving him the presidency.

It’s hard to avoid painting the Clinton campaign strategy as anything short of stupidity. Donna Brazile, who famously rigged the debates against Bernie Sanders, hatched a scheme in which millions of dollars would be spent to drum up urban vote in the cities of New Orleans and Chicago, two cities residing in states that were clearly red and blue respectively.

The plan, summed up in this one sentence, reveals the level of incompetence in tremendous fashion …

To be clear, this is the equivalent of telling a football team that the only way to win is to have a higher score, and the coach of that team instead directing his players to try and get the most field goals.

Trump was scoring electoral touchdowns and running up the score, while Team Clinton was kicking away.

The responses to this report were vastly one-sided …

The Politico excerpt again reads:

But there also were millions approved for transfer from Clinton’s campaign for use by the DNC — which, under a plan devised by Brazile to drum up urban turnout out of fear that Trump would win the popular vote while losing the electoral vote, got dumped into Chicago and New Orleans, far from anywhere that would have made a difference in the election.

Even more embarrassing is the fact that they were so pleased with this strategy, and so convinced that it was going to work, Hillary’s top aides spent the afternoon of Election Day drinking in celebration and calling potential transition team candidates.

Via the Daily Caller:

Clinton’s arrogant mindset apparently caused the campaign to miss key voter trends, such as the loss of white union members to Donald Trump in states such as Michigan and Pennsylvania. On the morning of Election Day, the campaign was so confident of a Clinton victory, staffers began drinking in the afternoon and making phone calls to potential transition team picks.

Hillary’s losses in both Michigan and Pennsylvania, coupled with Trump claiming a win in Wisconsin, is what handed the electoral college victory to the Republican.

And Clinton was sent packing with the consolation prize she spent millions to obtain – the popular vote.

Now she has plenty of time to sit on her couch and read up on the Electoral College, and learn about the American voting system she clearly does not understand.
