Claudia Tenney, a Tea Party candidate and small business owner, has announced she will run for Congress in New York’s 22nd Congressional District.
Tenney made an announcement earlier this morning via Periscope, saying “We need a representative in Congress who has the courage to challenge the power brokers in Washington and the tenacity to fight for our Republican values.”
She also blasted her primary opponent, Richard Hanna for his comments which support Hillary Clinton’s contention that the Benghazi hearings were partisan, and for his continued support of Planned Parenthood despite a series of grisly videos showing officials bartering and selling baby parts for profit.
“Richard Hanna continued his assault on our principles when recently he ridiculed Republican Representative Trey Gowdy’s investigation into the Benghazi murders as little more than a partisan attack against Hillary Clinton,” Tenney said.
“Richard Hanna stood nearly alone when he voted to give taxpayer money to Planned Parenthood after undercover videos revealed that this organization was engaging in the amoral sale of human body parts.”
You can learn more about her here.
Tenney narrowly lost to Hanna in 2014 when an onslaught of “false flag” Super PAC ads deceptively portrayed her as the more liberal candidate, and Hanna as more conservative. In fact, the opposite is true.
Hanna, it was recently revealed, was the lone Republican in Congress to accept campaign donations from Planned Parenthood.
As we have highlighted here before, Hanna is a pro-choice wolf in Republican clothing, having voted to force pro-life or religious organizations to pay for abortions for their employees, was the lone Republican to oppose banning federal payments for abortion, and told members of a pro-abortion rally to give their money to Democrats.
He was recently told by Trey Gowdy to keep his mouth shut in regards to the Benghazi investigation against Clinton.
He should not “offer thoughts on matters on which (he is) not familiar,” Gowdy said.
