Former president George W. Bush has a message for Donald Trump in regards to battling ISIS … ‘Go get ’em!’

In an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, Bush spoke of both Obama and Trump making a promise to degrade and defeat the terror organization.

Trump spoke at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) this week regarding his plans to do just that.

“I have directed the defense community to develop a plan to totally obliterate ISIS,” he said to cheers. “Working with our allies, we will eradicate this evil from the face of the Earth.”

Former President George W. Bush expressed his belief that ISIS can be defeated in a sit-down with Sean Hannity.

Bush mentioned that Presidents Obama and Trump have both vowed to defeat ISIS. Trump has repeatedly vowed to “knock the hell out of” the terrorist organization and on Friday, he said at CPAC that his goal is to “eradicate this evil from the face of the Earth.”

“Go get them, because they can be degraded and defeated,” Bush told Hannity.

“It’s very important, in my mind, that we do so that people know they can rely upon us and the people not only governments but people on the ground — people who want to be free.”

Bush commented on the importance of defeating ISIS – a prospect that seemed nearly impossible under President Obama, but now seems very realistic under President Trump.

Bush also defended his legacy in Iraq and Afghanistan a bit, explaining that numerous soldiers he’s spoken to say “… I love the idea of girls being able to go to school for the first time in Afghanistan or young kids in Iraq no longer subjected to the thuggery of these ideological thugs.”
