A parody political ad from the company Legal Sea Foods has landed it’s CEO in some hot water over ‘a cold fish.’

CEO Roger Berkowitz went a little too far in the eyes of many “safe space” loving feminists, when one of the ads showed Hillary Clinton and referred to her as “a cold fish.”

Via the Boston Globe:

Legal Sea Foods likes to create edgy ad campaigns. Remember the restaurant’s TV spot mocking save-the-animals PSAs by suggesting fish should be protected so we can eat them? Animal-rights activists were not amused.

Well, a Legal Sea Foods ad in Monday’s Boston Globe has upset people once again. On the same day the Democratic National Convention is beginning in Philadelphia, the restaurant placed a full-page ad featuring restaurant CEO Roger Berkowitz and a picture of presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. “We Have a Term for Cold Fish. Sushi,” the ad reads. “Berkowitz for President. #FeelTheBerk.”

But the hashtag for Berkowitz’s faux campaign to be commander in chief was co-opted by people on Twitter to register their outrage at the ad. “Just tried to call #legalseafoods HQ to register disgust at hateful misogyny in Globe ad today. No one home. #feeltheberk #sexismisnotfunny,” tweeted one person. “Former proud employee of @legalseafoods, now disgusted w #sexist ad in @BostonGlobe stick to fish Roger #feeltheberk,” tweeted another.

Berkowitz pointed out that the ad campaign has also targeted the Republican nominee, Donald Trump. Which is perfectly acceptable. In fact, the Globe wrote their own ‘look at this funny ad’ column when the Trump ad came out mocking his ‘small hands.’

You can see that ad here.

But go after Hillary? That’s sexist, of course.

Food critic for the Boston Globe Devra First has been railing against Legal Sea Foods on social media, calling the ad ‘misogynistic.’

Hey all you outraged feminists – You know who else has called Hillary a “cold fish” before?

Bill Clinton.

In discussing her pending memoir in 2012, Bill’s former famous mistress Monica Lewinsky discussed several love letters written to her by the president. The Daily Mail reported that those letters “detail her love for Clinton and how Lewinsky, then just 22, could make him much happier than his wife, Hillary, who the president called a ‘cold fish.’”

Whoops. Might want to adjust your misogyny outrage and point it directly at Hillary’s husband. Not only for calling her a cold fish, but you know, that whole sexual assault on women thing.

Comment: Do you think Hillary is a ‘cold fish’? Is the ad misogynistic or a funny joke? You decide, and tell us about it below.
